Bushfire Recovery Walk
(4 hours)
The Bushfire Recovery Walk takes you into the heart of Deep Creek National Park to see both burnt and unburnt sections. The Deep Creek region was devastated by a 4,500 hectare fire in January of 2026, but Australia’s temperate woodlands and heathlands are fire adapted ecosystems, so they are already beginning to recover. On this walk, Max will show you the unfolding renewal and talk about the many ways that fire has shaped this landscape for millennia.
